Rotary being an international organisation Dudley Rotary works with clubs outside of Rotary GB&I and has
supported a number of International humanitarian projects. These are just a few of such projects.
Bargarh (India) Leper Colony
In the early 1990s Dudley Rotary Club helped fund a new village for leper families in Bargarh in India.
The project was part funded by The Rotary Foundation. The project earned the club one of its District
Significant Achievement
Awards.
Rotary Club of Dudley Education Centre South Africa
In about 2014 the club began a partnership with the charity SOS Africa. In 2017 the Club funded the
£50,000 to build an Education Centre at Grabouw in South Africa. For several years the club has funded
on person's education
BOISAR EYE CLINIC
This project, to establish an eye clinic in India, marked the centenary of the Club in 2022. The
clinic provides free cataract surgery for those who cannot afford the operation.
The club worked with the Rotary Club of Mumbai West Coast. The project included a mobile unit to
allow examinations in remote villages.
